Lowest allergenicity

The molecular weight profile of extensively hydrolysed formulas (eHFs) is an important characteristic in determining their potential residual allergenic activity.1

  • Nutramigen 1, 2 & 3 with LGG® are extensively hydrolysed casein-based formulas and have a low allergenic potential2,3

  • The majority of the protein in Nutramigen 1, 2 & 3 with LGG® is hydrolysed to amino acids and short peptide chains, with 95% of protein < 1000 Da molecular weight3

The smaller the protein fragments, the less potential they could have for triggering an immune reaction

  • Over 75 clinical studies and 75 years’ experience show that the low allergenicity of Nutramigen translates into a well demonstrated and efficacious management of cow's milk allergy

Nutramigen 1, 2 & 3 with LGG® are foods for special medical purposes and should only be used under the supervision of a healthcare professional. Nutramigen with LGG® is not recommended for premature and immunocompromised infants unless directed and supervised by a healthcare professional.
